OUR CABINS
Historic Character. Private Retreats. Lake Quinault at Your Doorstep.
Lochaerie Resort is home to just six private cabins, each with its own character, history and connection to the surrounding landscape.
Built primarily between 1926 and 1936, these are authentic historic cabins—not reproductions. Expect warm wood interiors, cozy proportions, fireplaces and the beautiful character that comes with nearly a century of life on Lake Quinault.
Wake to mist over the water. Spend the day exploring the Olympic Peninsula. Return to your cabin, light the fire and settle into the quiet.
Choose the cabin that feels like yours.
INCLUDED WITH EVERY CABIN
Every Lochaerie cabin is designed to feel like your own private retreat on Lake Quinault.
Each cabin includes:
• Private bathroom with shower
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Range and oven
• Refrigerator and freezer
• Microwave
• Toaster
• Four-cup coffee maker and filters
• Cookware, dishes and utensils
• Fresh linens
• Fireplace or wood stove
• Daily bundle of firewood
Charcoal grills are also available for guest use. Guests should bring their own charcoal and lighter fluid.
During the season, registered guests also enjoy complimentary use of Lochaerie’s canoes, sit-on-top kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. We ask that you read a quick water safety sheet and always wear a life jacket when you’re in the water, we have plenty and in all sizes.
UNPLUG BY DESIGN
Our cabins do not have Wi-Fi or televisions—and that’s intentional.
Lochaerie offers something increasingly rare: the opportunity to disconnect from everyday distractions and reconnect with the people and landscape around you.
Make coffee. Sit beside the lake. Take a morning paddle. Explore the rainforest. Light the fire before dinner.
For a cozy movie night, a limited number of televisions with built-in DVD players and a collection of movies are available from our Self Check-In Room.
If you aren’t sure whether or not you need to bring something, just shoot us a quick email or phone call and we’ll let you know if we have it.
We also have a picnic pavilion that is free for all of our guests to use. It is covered, has pellet heater, charcoal grill and seating. This is a shared space so please be respectful of your neighbors.
PLEASE NOTE: Our cabins have potential accessibility issues due to their design and location. Most cabin access involves a challenging pathway and steep stairs. If you are concerned about accessibility, we recommend reserving the Olympus cabin as it is the most accessible. Otherwise, please contact us for more information about accessibility accommodation.
